Welcoming Dr. Raymond Cao to the Hadron Energy Team

Dr. Raymond Cao Joins Hadron Energy

Hadron Energy is thrilled to announce that Dr. Raymond Cao has joined the Hadron Energy team as a Board Advisor. Dr. Cao is a Professor of Nuclear Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University. He is also the Director of The Ohio State University Nuclear Reactor Laboratory and a Member of the Ohio Nuclear Development Authority appointed by Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine.

Dr. Cao earned his PhD from the Nuclear and Radiation Engineering Program at The University of Texas at Austin, completed postdoctoral training at the Center for Neutron Research at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Dr. Cao has authored 15 patents and about 200 publications, with more than 11,000 citations of his work, reflecting his significant contributions to the nuclear field. His research has led to over $24 million in grants from federal agencies and industry. He has also graduated 16 PhD students.

Dr. Cao has been serving on the Executive Committee of Isotope and Radiation Division of the American Nuclear Society since 2011 and has been involved in numerous advisory and review panels for prestigious organizations like the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Science Foundation (NSF), United States Department of Defense, and International Foundations (Israel, Norway, Canada). He also serves as the Senior Editor for the Nuclear Power I&C track at the IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science.
