GAIN is a prestigious initiative led by the DOE’s Office of Nuclear Energy and operated by Idaho National Laboratory (INL). Its mission is to accelerate the commercialization of advanced nuclear technologies by providing private innovators with streamlined access to world-class research facilities, technical resources, and regulatory expertise across the national lab system.

This milestone is symbolic and strategic for Hadron Energy. Our inclusion in the GAIN Directory proves Hadron Energy’s to be one of the country’s promising microreactor nuclear developers. It improves the ability to execute our vision of developing factory-built, lightwater microreactors that deliver 24/7, carbon-free power to data centers, remote communities, defense infrastructure, and industrial sites.

Through GAIN, Hadron has access to:

  • Collaborative opportunities with national laboratories and technical experts
  • Accelerated R&D support to reduce commercialization timelines
  • Validation and visibility among DOE stakeholders and innovation partners
  • Alignment with U.S. energy policy and decarbonization goals

Why It Matters:

  • Formal acknowledgment by the DOE and INL strengthens our credibility with regulators, customers, and investors
  • GAIN provides the tools and partnerships needed to fast-track technical development and licensing
  • As energy reliability and clean infrastructure become national priorities, our work through GAIN places us at the forefront of the U.S. clean energy transformation

We are grateful for the continued support of the U.S. Department of Energy, the Office of Nuclear Energy, and the team at Idaho National Laboratory.
